Rayavadee spreads its pavilions and villas over 26 acres of tropical gardens at the tip of the Phranang Peninsula, ringed by jungle topped limestone cliffs on the edge of Krabi Marine National Park. Railay and Phranang beaches lie on either side, and guests arrive by boat.
Krabi is on the Andaman coast of southern Thailand, about 800 kilometres south of Bangkok. From Krabi airport it is about 20 minutes by car to Nong Nuch pier, then about 20 minutes by boat along the coast.
The resort describes its guiding idea as living in harmony with the setting. It is a founding member of a Krabi initiative begun in 2009 that brings together government agencies, local businesses and residents to protect the area's fragile ecosystem, and it takes part in beach cleaning, mangrove planting and marine life repopulation. Rayavadee is part of The Premier Group of Companies, a Thai group.
The Rayavadee Villa, 417 square metres, has its own free form pool and built in jacuzzi overlooking Phranang Beach, with two adjoining king bedrooms, a living and lounge area, a kitchenette and a poolside dining room. The Phranang Villa, also 417 square metres, is an annex set among the limestone cliffs above Phranang Beach, five minutes on foot down the beach from the main resort, with a private pool, a living room, a dining area and a kitchenette.
The Family Villa, 345 square metres, has two bedrooms and a private pool of 3 by 12 metres, a few minutes on foot from Phranang and Railay beaches. The Raitalay Villa, 260 square metres, sits in a sheltered corner of Railay Beach looking over the Andaman Sea, with two adjoining king bedrooms, a living and dining room, a kitchenette and an outdoor deck with a hydro pool. The Pool Pavilion, 115 square metres, has a private pool of 3 by 8 metres and a terrace in a tropical garden.
