Zurich

Zurich, with the lake on the doorstep.

A walkable city of old streets, lakefront promenades and hotels ranging from a hilltop resort to small lakeside and old-town addresses.

Zurich is more than a stop between flights and mountains. The Limmat runs through the old town to the lake, and the waterfront becomes the city’s open-air living room in warmer months. From the centre, trams make most neighbourhoods simple to reach.

The five hotels offer different bases. Mandarin Oriental Savoy is on Paradeplatz; Widder occupies historic old-town houses; The Dolder Grand is a full hillside retreat. Baur au Lac has a private park near the lake and Bahnhofstrasse. La Réserve Eden au Lac is a smaller, design-led stay on the Seefeld waterfront. Choose between the city centre, the lake and the hill above it.
