A pool of your own.

How to choose

A private pool turns a hotel room into a house. Breakfast arrives on the deck, the afternoon passes between the water and the shade, and the only other guests are the ones you came with. Every hotel here offers villas or suites with a pool reserved for that room, confirmed on the hotel's own pages.

Not every pool is the same. Some are long enough for real lengths, others are plunge pools for cooling off between meals. In Thailand most sit on a deck facing the sea or the garden. In Bangkok, a handful of riverside villas bring the idea into the city. In Portugal, the villas of Comporta and the Douro open onto pine woods and vineyards rather than the sea.

The villa itself matters as much as the pool. Look at the number of bedrooms, whether there is a living room for rainy afternoons, and how private the deck really is from the paths and neighbours. Larger villas often come with a butler or host, which makes a real difference for families and longer stays.

Our Villas and suites index lists the individual rooms with sizes, bedrooms and photos from each hotel. Use it to compare the pool villas across the collection, then ask us if you want help choosing between two.
