Amalfi Coast
The Amalfi Coast and Capri.
Four family run hotels on the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast and on Capri. Most open from April to late October.
The Amalfi Coast runs along the southern side of the Sorrento peninsula, with villages of lemon terraces and painted houses built into the cliffs above small beaches. Positano, Amalfi and Conca dei Marini face the open sea, and Capri lies just offshore.
The great hotels here are mostly owned and run by the families who built them. Most open in April and close in late October or November, and in July and August the coast road is busy. May, June and September are the best months.
